A New Look for FFLK Members

Jeannie Vezeau

The new Friendship Force logo has arrived in Louisville!  We have beautiful new royal blue polo shirts, colorful new name badges, and versatile FF-Louisville tote bags.  They all feature the new FFI logo that was introduced at FFI’s International Conference in Australia last fall.

FFLK ShirtShirts – No more green shirts!  With the variety of colors in the new FFI logo, clubs can now select whatever color shirts they’d like.  For FF-Louisville, we’ve chosen a distinctive “royal blue” polo shirt with a pocket.  This color coordinates well with navy, black, khaki – and most other colors.  These high-quality shirts feature an embroidered (not printed) FF Louisville logo.  The shirts come in standard unisex sizes.  We have them from Small to XX-Large.  They’re $15 each – two dollars less than our green shirts have cost for the past dozen years!

Badges – The new FF-Louisville badges feature the new seven-color FFI logo and have an alligator clip on the back.  You’ll receive a lanyard to go with your badge for displaying club pins, if you’d like.  This standard-length lanyard can be knotted at the top if you’d like it shorter.  Or, your badge can be worn without the lanyard, thanks to the alligator clip that swivels to attach to the shirt or blouse you’re wearing.  You’ll receive your new badge at no extra cost to you.   In your 2009 dues, you paid $10/member for the discontinued FFI magazine.  We’ve re-assigned this money to purchase your new badges.  After this initial replacement, badges will cost $10 each.  Caution: Because these badges are printed, be sure you don’t put them through the wash!

FFLK Tote Bag Tote Bags – This is a terrific new item – especially if you like to take your own bags to the grocery or other stores.  These new FF-Louisville tote bags are made from recycled plastic, making them incredibly strong and environmentally friendly.  They’re extremely lightweight and very easy to pack!  They feature sturdy handles and a reinforced flat bottom – perfect for groceries or other goods.  They’re $3 each or three for $8 (our break-even cost) – and are a great way to promote our club.

All members are welcome to buy several totes as attractive gifts for family and friends.  Outbound Ambassadors can use these bags as great gifts for day hosts or dinner hosts.  For week-long exchanges, EDs will use exchange fees to purchase a tote bag for at least each inbound Ambassador/Ambassador couple or outbound home-hosting household.  For shorter exchanges of two to three days, EDs will have the option not to use exchange fees for any Ambassador gifts.
